..... my Friend has pretty much decided on the Suunto Zoop and im going to go for the Scubapro Meridian!......
Make sure your friend gets from the dive store a free activation code for the Zoop Online Class ... (sorry, we don't have yet the one for the Meridian).

The Meridian is an excellent choice.

Your friend should have a look at the XP-10. It has the same algorithm as the Meridian.

That way you will be on the same dive program.
 
The subgear XP10 is a great computer that will do all the basic things she would need it to do.

The meridian is great. It takes some getting used to with all the features but is still pretty easy to navigate. Have had to turn the water activation feature off until diving because sweating will put it in dive mode. But other than that has been grerat and just as reliable as all the other scubapro computers.
