Nice shots, Phil. Out here on Catalina they don't seem to be as "friendly" I wonder if it has anything to do with a few fishermen that shoot at them?

Stunning shots Phil! I guess the ongoing joke between you and Merry about diving the Barge is no longer valid. It seems to me its turning out to be a quality photography spot. Are you still planning on picking up an SLR system?
There are some Simnias and small amphipods on the red gorgonians, but we've seen fewer than a dozen nudibranchs on the barge. If not for the sea lions we would probably still have our running gag.
It took four years to save for the boat, then another year to save for the camera. My tax refund last month put me close, so I whipped out my credit card and ordered the camera. The sea lions were my first wide angle shots.

Nikon D700, Nikon AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm f/4G ED VR Wide Angle Zoom Lens, Ikelite housing with 8 inch dome port and two DS160 strobes. I also got the Nikon AF-S Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8G ED Macro Autofocus Lens and flat port. All I need now are decent conditions.

Nice setup. Do you have Dive Equipment Insurance?
