Do you folks do much wreck diving in WI (Great Lakes)? This is where my concern is: I have been told that Tri-lam suits do not hold up very well as far as wrecks are concerned but that crushed neoprean is the best. I have some misgivings about the CN type suits but I want the best for doing Video/Wreck diving.

WoofDiver,

All my dry-suit diving is Great Lakes wreck diving. Well, that and prep. diving in quarries. I'm in Michigan, dive quite often and my tri-lams have held up beautifully. My White's is still in great condition after 7 seasons. My Diving Concepts is on it's third season and still looks brand new.

I can't compare the tri-lam to the crushed neoprene as I don't have a cn. I didn't want to deal with the added buoyancy and thus added weight on my weight belt.

I'm guessing that I have roughly 150 wreck dives on my Tri-Lam (Typhoon) suit, and I'm not easy on it. There is some wear on the knees, but other than that it has been extremely durable.

hello!
I've been renting a Bare Neoprene Drysuit that I don't mind at all. But it's about time I invest in my own equipment & I'm seriously considering the (Bare) Next Gen. For one I know a few people that recommend it (some owned it, some didn't). And it seems relatively economical compared to other options.
Anyone here use it?
