For Austin....

Problem is Lake Travis generally isn't deep enough for it to matter most of the time. Add in the cost of cleaning tanks and price of fills and I don't bother. Then it becomes a self sustaining loop. If I could get banked nitrox and a better cost then I'd do it more often which would then make it make more sense..

OceanicVentures has a big CCR diver base so they bank everything because that are always topping up something with trimix. And they bank EAN because they have a lot of locals that dive EAN, and take EAN for local trips.

EAN for me is cheap. I just filled my 3L O2 bottle for $9.00.. that lets me dive the TX quarries, rivers, & lakes for about 10hours before I need a refill. I'm usually about EAN40 if I've got .7po2 in the local Texas stuff :D

I remember Oceanic VEntures. They were my LDS back in 2003-2005 when I lived in The Woodlands and worked at Continental (RIP).

I remember they took a really long time (months) to get my Catalina 80's Hydro'd and VIPd. I didn't care too much though cause it was over the winter. I finally pushed the issue and he had one of my tanks back but couldn't find my other tank. I remember they admitted their bad and gave me the choice of an new (used) tank out of their inventory.

Seemed like a pretty good shop while I was there. I remember having much less opinions of Giggling Marlines. It took years to get off their spam list despite repeated emails telling them I moved out of the area.
