Are any shops selling banked Nitrox in the Houston area?

tia,

Couv

Its been a few months since I have been there but Houston Scuba Academy did. I know there are others but I have not used them personally.

Might try Sea Sports Scuba. They have four locations in Houston. I think they all have nitrox.

Hi Cuda,

Yes Sea Sports has Nitrox, but they do pp fills.

Cheers,

Are you asking for banked so you can get nitrox in an air tank? Many shops still won't do that.

You only need one that will. Then the others have a choice of get smart or lose the business.

Agreed but we both know many dive shops don't get it.

oceanic ventures banks nitrox 32. $0.19 per foot if i remember correctly.

yep.. they are a true tech shop:

They bank EAN 32, 80, Trimix 21/35, 10/50, and they boost trimix, EAN, argon to 3500 & O2 to 3000. If you need a special mix (16/45 etc) give them a day or two.

You can also rent nitrox cylinders, rebreather cylinders, 40cf stages, doubles with whatever mix you want.
Houston's Premier Dive and Scuba Shop Oceanic Ventures Inc.

For Austin....

Problem is Lake Travis generally isn't deep enough for it to matter most of the time. Add in the cost of cleaning tanks and price of fills and I don't bother. Then it becomes a self sustaining loop. If I could get banked nitrox and a better cost then I'd do it more often which would then make it make more sense..
