Nice Banka. I can't help you with the clutch issue but my brother in law had one made (a large one with a diesel engine) in Cebu. I'll try to get the specs and the builder for you.

We were more concerned with the cooler. It had to be able to hold 5 cases of San Mig.:D

roger that....no drinking on this boat....diving only....looking forward to hearing about your clutch design.

no drinking?:11: Even Apre-diving?

Haven't heard back from my brother in law but he did design it himself (he had the resources of Aboitiz Shipping at the time). Will keep you informed.

Holy s**t !! I would love to see THAT banka. How did they fit the marble jaccuzzi on board that skinny hull? :D

We are a non-drinking, non-smoking group of divers.....well, sometimes, okay, not always but most of the time...aw, what the heck....go ahead! Seriously, no drinking and diving is "THE GOLDEN RULE" with our crew.

Marble jaccuzzi? Aboitiz? Those guys are soo cheap. :D

The main design element was the huge insulated cooler ... held four cases of beer.

Babydamulag, just found out that the used the transmission that came along with the diesel engine. The simply engaged the clutch to start and kept it in the gear with the most power. Kinda simple but effective. I think your engine isn't a car or truck engine so you'll have to use Hank49's design.
