@JackDC

How was your Bangka trip last January?
Apologies for the delayed reply. Our trip was remarkable! Bangka is really beautiful. We did get a good bit of rain; though the rainy season appears to be less predictable/dramatic in North Sulawesi, there was at least one day with very choppy seas, and most days were overcast. This did not affect the diving in a significant way. There was a bit of current on a couple dives but none of us were bothered by it (and several of our group were beginners). The wildlife is astounding. I did a muck dive in the bay near our resort at night and saw multiple Wunderpus and Longarm octopus. I hear Lembeh is fantastic but I can’t imagine it surpassing the things we saw in Bangka. I was blown away. Hope to be back as soon as possible!

Thank you for your reply.

I prefer to dive Bangka any day over Lembeh but then, I'm not a photographer seeking the ideal shot.

I'd much rather dive beautiful corals and the steps of Sahaung surrounded by fish and critters.
