Ball valve

Hey guys,

Need some advice. Noticed these on ebay. Do you think they would be suitable for scuba/compressor applications? I want to use them for my whip shut offs. The Parker valves are just so damn expensive.

Call and ask: Raptor Blast High Pressure Ball Valves, 1/4" - 3/4": CS-HP-BV Toolz Unlimited

Looks to me like they are designed for water.

If your going to be blending I prefer needle valves.

I will try and call Raptor - I am in Honduras so not that easy.

I was planning on using these just on the fill whips from the compressor. I have a separate setup for blending

For the price you can't go too wrong. I would give them a try.

So I did an online chat and they say they are good for gas and air.

Yep for the price I think I will order some. Will take a few weeks to get here. I'll let you know how I get on.

Speaking of needle valves, I saw these - suitable?

I saw those as well and did talk with a store owner that bought a couple. He said they are great if you don't fiddle with them. He said that one is installed in a fill line and he has it dialed in pretty well and it works great. The other one he was doing quite a bit of fiddling with it under pressure and it started leaking. Apparently, they are better in a "set it and forget it" type of installation.

I went ahead and order couple anyway to try out. If they are no good for on the fly adjustments I haven't wasted too much cash.
