Ha great to hear your stories

I told him it was probably that his boys were drying up and he was likely going to be infertile soon!!!

Which is why, based upon the prior posts, I do not wear any equipment ever that has a "crotch strap. I once had a deep sea BCD that cm with one and I cut it off. (The crotch strap, that is.) Also, several reasons given above for not buying a wetsuit you have not tried on.

I just had this happen on my first dry suit dive. I wasn't putting enough air in and got a bit of squeeze as we descended. It didn't occur to me what it was until after we got of the water and started talking about it. I've only had it happen once before with several layers of heavy neoprene.

On a slightly related note...

I am sure any male scuba instructor will tell you that proper fit in this area can be a real concern when you are teaching a Rescue Diver class and acting as an unconscious diver while students are pulling you out of the swimming pool and up on the pool deck.

Believe me.

I've only had it happen while diving in a wetsuit and when it did the first time I felt like I had been kicked in the junk... I let out a very audible groan that my buddy heard.

Since moving to a drysuit I haven't had the displeasure of a similar situation.

I have a custom-made wetsuit. It fits very snugly except for the crotch area, which is a little loose. After reading this thread, I'm very glad about that (and I'm wondering whether it was intentional).
