MikeFerrara:
Once you get an Apeks flowing turning the mouthpiece down won't stop it.

Works for me on the TX50 main and TX40 octo.

Try adjusting the lever on the side of the reg back a bit, there are + and - signs. You dont want it full + if its doing that - reduce it to 2/3 or something and re-try.

FWIW i keep my TX40 octo at full - and my TX50 main at near enough full + (slightly off).

Taucher:
that has not been my experience. My apeks ATX40 has, on occasion started to free-flow (ussually when first entering the water, and because the lever was in the "easy breathe" position) and has always stopped as soon as I turned it mouthpiece down. I now check the positon of the levers before enrtering the water and have not had any problems. I also have my regs serviced on a yearly basis.

Mine won't but it could be the way I adjust them (they breath real nice)

I just keep the lever back when I'm not using the reg
