Backwards planning

Off to mabul/sipdn for just over a week at the end of the year as a last minute add on to my last minute trip to Bali. Why not??

Anyhooo, what can you all tell me about the diving there? We are going with Seaventures (the rig). Would love to know your thoughts on the diving including averages depths, currents, interesting creatures etc. I plan on just going and enjoying whatever it is on the day, of course, but as neither my friend nor I have been it would be great to hear some recent first hand diving info.

Anything you could share about the Seaventures part of your trip? Heading there next Wed.

We stayed at Sipadan Water Village, which is very close to Seaventures rig, and dove under it a bit. It's really a good dive under there! I recall lots of nudibranchs, a nice blue ribbon eel, and a frogfish, etc.

It's not a far boat ride to Sipadan & Si Amil islands from there, and obviously Mabul & Kapalai islands are even closer.

Yes that is kind of backward planning. Have you already read informative dive site pages, like these, on Sipadan and Mabul dive sites?
