Welcome to my tour of Indonesia.

Our first stop is probably the most famous island of Bali.

We choose the less touristy north for our stay. In this video we explore the underwater world, we visit the highlights of the region and then we go scuba diving again.
The underwater landscape is influenced by lava rock and black sand that was washed in from the nearby volcano. Even if the dark environment seems unusual at first, it is a big pot full of individual and different small creatures - therefore the area around Tulamben is considered one of the world's hotspots for underwater photographers.

We also visit the local market. It opens in the middle of the night and offers an uncensored view into the life of the locals. After that, we hike up the mountain to a hidden waterfall; we only meet locals and no other tourists. On the way back we stop at a traditional temple.

In contrast to the north, our next destinations are definitely more touristy. We visit the water temple, a large rice field and the so-called “Gate to Heaven”.

Back at our resort, we once again enjoy the peace and isolation of the exclusive diving spots. Only a handful of relaxed divers go in search of the small and colorful creatures of bali`s north-east Coast.

We stayed in th resort "Alam Batu" - close to Tulamben
