Definitely love to dive Peacock on Thursday. I'm a newbie (IANTD Intro Cave - Oct 2007) like yourself but I have many dives in the first 1000ft of Peanut and Pothole at Peacock I.

Looks like I'll be around that Thursday and Friday.
I can dive sidemount or backmount.

If you need a line guider in Peacock , let me know ! :D

There's Orange Grove Line , Peanut , Pothole etc etc etc ...
(A lot of line in that cave , fer sure)

Timle: Have you been up to the Window/Keyhole on the Pothole Line?
How about the Peanut Restriction? :D
And a 1000 feet in Orange Grove takes you right to the Distance Tunnel.

P1 to Olson --> 1400 ft
Olsen to Challenge --> 1400 ft
Challenge to Orange Grove --> 1800 ft
P1 to Peanut Restriction--> right around 1800 ft.

Thanks!
Jean

end of the line in peanut is 1800?? wow.

I have a feeling we won't be looking at any 1000 foot penetrations on sixths!

Timle, we'd love to hook up with you. And Jean, we had talked about getting together on Friday, but if you're going to be around Thursday and are looking for company, that works, too.

My wife and I hit sixths of her HP100s at 1000 feet in the Peanut Line on the midnight new years eve dive on Dec 31st/Jan 1st. Peanut line is shallow and no flow. You might be surprised.

Sounds like a plan to me. Assuming work is no issue, I'll be at Bill's (Cave Excursions) for fills that morning. We can meet there or at Peacock I parking lot. I PM'd you my number. Let me know what time you want to meet Thursday morning.

We hit the end of the Peanut line (1800') with a few hundred psi to go till 1/3s...on AL80s...

So, about 40cf to get to the end of the Peanut line. Double 85s with cave fills = about 240cf. 1/6 of 240 is 40...

I think you just might be seeing 1000'...and more... :D

Dove peanut tunnel today - not even trying to get far - just tooling around - hit 800+ on sixth. Viz was terrible down pothole - but a lot of people and classes and been down there.

I won't get to the peanut restriction on 40cf, my SAC is not that good. But if your SAC is down around .5-.6 40cf ought to get you there. Mine is more like .75

1/6th got me to the Peanut Restriction and back up the line another 300' before hitting my 'turn' pressure. :D

Shallow cave, uber low flow, its quite possible to get some good penetration by Intro standards. Just don't forget to enjoy everything! :D

Oh, we will enjoy! I am getting very excited about getting back there and seeing some new cave.

Okies!
Looks like I will be FREE on Thursday too , so let me know what time you are going to be at Peacock (I'll be a Dive Outpost Thursday morning). You can whip in and honk the horn and I'll be a rollin to Peacock :D
