Couldn't get on the SCI boat, so I am headed back to CP tomorrow, 6:15 am (YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) boat from Downtown Cat. Landing (YUCK X2), 3:45 back (hot date :-) )

Looking to do three dives, I know DrB will be there, anyone else (and usual buddy disclaimer ;-) )?

Having the feet replaced under warranty. Man. Wanted to sneak it in to them between trips. Crapola. I would have loved to go. All I got is my 3/2 mm Warmwater Weenie suit.

Next time for sure.

Chris:

I'm on the same boats to/from Catalina (Commodore class coming back for the free beer). My buddies & I are usually on the right side against the inner wall. Hope to see ya there. I'll have a green St. Maarten shirt with a skeleton riding a shark.

You're having your feet replaced? You're not going to be walking for a while, let alone diving!

I had a friend who had that operation done and he wasn't walking for like a year, lots of painful therapy. Why are you having it done, is it an ankle problem, or a tarsel issue?

Well, whatever, good luck with it.

Here is a link to info about the operation.

Ken- Sorry to hear about the surgery. Hope you are on your feet quickly, at least before the water temp drops out here. Surface temp was 73 degrees yesterday!

Good to see ChrisM here yesterday. By the way, my dive with the blonde was intriguing. Only her 9th dive so skills need further development, but she was comfortable in the water and (more importantly) in awe of the underwater world and its marine life and (MOST importantly) gave me her e-mail addy and phone number!

Sorry I missed you guys in Catalina! But I was persuaded to do my very first (sandy) beach dive yesterday at Shaws Cove.

I was suprised I liked it so much! The visibility was about 15, maybe better a little deeper. So I concentrated on looking all around the nooks and crannies for little things... it was a very nice dive. 68 at the surface, and I think about 57 when we went deeper than 35' (brrr).

Other than being almost as crowded with divers as the freeways were on the way home, a most pleasurable way to spend an hour underwater! I now seem to have conquered my fear of waves (well, the waves were very tiny) and sand, LOL!!

Still the steps at the dive park are a lot easier than walking back up the beach stairs at Shaws! I think I will come out and see you soon, Dr. Bill!

I think you missed Ken's post title -- DS at DUI or Dry suit at DUI... :bonk:
