Back in the Water

Just wanted to say "hello"

I was certified in 1990, did intermittent diving....then you know how it goes, got involved with non diver, ditched all the gear.

I last went diving during a r.t.w year trip in dec '02 on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia

And now, duh-da-duh-dun ... taking a refresher course as I'm headed to Central America and thought it'd be a shame not to dive....

Now I just need to convince the hubby to become certified!

A running buddy steered me to Scuba Board.... a little overwhelmed with all the info but I'll get the hang of it.

Welcome to ScubaBoard. Hopefully your spouse will get interested in SCBUA. My wife and daughter now both dive and it makes things more workable when planning vacations.

Hi, signed up last december and just returned to website; are the chat rooms very active? and if so, when?

Going on my first oil rig dive thanksgiving weekend, looking forward to it and fearing it at the same time; have good buds that have been before, and I'll just wait and see what conditions are, kinda scary for first time, altlhough I have over 500 dives under my belt, something new is always makes me a bit apprehensive; any good words out there? thank you
