Howdy folks, this looks like a great and informative website. I' m an old fart that put in 40 dives back in the 1990's but drifted away ?from the sport for many years..work, lousy weather and COLD water at home (Vancouver BC) were a part of "why".
Just had occasion to do 13 days in Maui so thought I'd get in a Guided refresher dive which I did..a 37 minute to 35 feet, walked in from the beach. Good part: I'm refreshed, bad part, wow, the coral and fish have certainly degraded in 20 years.
I'll lurk around here for a while so I can find out how to repair my stuck inflator valve and get my 20 y.o bc working again etc.. and ease back into the sport..its good to be back
