Hi everyone,
I just got back a couple of days ago from 5 days in Cozumel. It's just as nice as I remember from the first time I went there-pre huricane. My buddie and I stayed at the Villa Blanca next to Papa Hogs, since Caribe Blu was sold out. We dove with Blue Angel. The accomidations were slightly cramped but the room was clean and the AC was cold. The weather the first two days we were there was perfect. On friday afternoon toward the end of our afternoon dive an "El Norte" blew in. It was was really quite windy and choppy on the water after that until monday. No matter, the diving was of course excellent. I dove Columbia Deep and Shallows, Santa Rosa wall, Punta Sur Devils Throat, Chun Chukaab, Palancar Bricks, Paradise, and some others that I don't remember now. 100ft vis and 79 deg water-Umm Umm Goood!
When we weren't diving we were mostly eating at Primas, Lobsteria, La Paroquia, and Hog town Cafe. A new place we found is a Cuban place called El Casino down near the French Quarter. They make a delicious Mojito and whip up a really mean white habenjero sauce.
Looking forward to going back again sometime later this year. In the mean time see you all at the lake this summer!
