DG, You know Joewr is going to be appalled that you are doing non-CAD diving. Better start thinking of ways to make amends there.
hehe

What can I say to make amends to the co-founder of CADs? I'll be helping out a friend complete some studies for a archeological site in the Ottawa River. See Joewr, it's for a good cause, am I forgiven?

DG, You are one tough cookie, girlie. I won't even pretend I can dive up there. I'm CAD all the way down to my long finger nails! LOL. But, it's good to know not all women aren't whimps like me.

heck I didn't say I was looking forward to the cold water, but it's not going to stop me. You come up here, and I'll give you a few lessons on "how to dive in Canada"

Thank you :)

I'm quite ok.

Actualy, not only have I not gone on any fabuluos adventure, but I actualy havn't dived at all for almost two whole months!

I'm way too dry, got to do something about it soon...

Liquid,

I know it is getting close to thanksgiving and all, but going cold turkey when you are a full fledged diving adict is crazy. Think of the consequences, the shakes, headaches, withdrawel anxiety. Please rethink this and get back in the water, we are all concerned for your health!

Thank you all for the warm welcome-back!

syruss- I'm in very heavy cold turkey here, and I can't see myself diving for at least another month. BBBRRRRRR!!!

Do you have any sugestions?
(I'm sure you can come up with something malicuose) Bath-tub simply isn't enough...
The only sea around me is the sea of sand (my university is in the middle of the dessert) and I don't know if regular scuba gear is good enough there.

P.S-

Excuse my ignorance, but what is CAD?

Joewr has declared himself as the co-founder of the:

Candy Ass Divers

definition? Sort of a global title for those divers unwilling to dive in anything cold

a new SCUBA acronym.....................

CAD= Candy Ass Diver..............................IOW ...........................................WIMP

LOL!! about my point of view butch!

Thx DivingGal!

I can apreciate the widom of that acronym.

I can tell you of another , somewhat alike issue-

Divers that dont like to get wet!

Me included!

Whenever going to dive, I usualy get grampy and anoyed when carrying all the gear and think about getting wet and dirtying the car. Needless to say it all goes away after my head get's beneath the waves and start to dive. Than I becoume a mean diving machine.

about getting wet and dirty, however that's what I was like before I started diving... Now I don't care - as long as I can dive, I will suffer through any grungy conditions on the way home!

*Aaaaaaahhhhh, to be in the blue right now*
