keuka1:Geez, as a new diver I thought all dives were supposed to be documented in a log book with all the pertinent information. But either folks are not looking in their dive logs or they are not using a dive log if a response is a range. And then when I look at these numbers I wonder if number of dives is a bit like fishermen describing their catches! Some simple math raises questions: if one is on a liveaboard for seven days and dives four times on each day, that would be 28 dives. Few people do more than a week on a liveaboard each year, or even on an annual basis. Here in Florida half day trips of two dives are common. So for each Saturday and Sunday that would be four dives. Four times 25 or 100 dives would mean one out of every two weekends spent diving and doing little else. For a recreational diver that seems pretty intense, in addition to the practicality of the weather. So unless one is a professional, I'm pretty sceptical that many people are doing 100 or more dives EVERY year.
tribaltim:Hello everyone,
How many dives do you average in a year?
