Just a heads up to anyone looking at, or currently diving with an Avatar Drysuit.

After a short test dive today I noticed I was getting wet around my torso, and after stripping down and inspecting my suit I noticed the rubberised coating on the TiZip was worn and flakey in a couple of places...

It's pretty annoying as I've owned and loved this suit for barely over 2 years now, and don't actually have too many dives with it...
I've always been careful to store it correctly, never leaving it folded other than when transporting, so the odd time here and there packed in my car... And even then I'm careful not to make any harsh folds, more of a roll...

Otherwise it's hanging upright in a specific dry store room, rinced after each dive, never any harsh chemicals, ect...

So yeah, just been careful because these particular zippers seem a little more fragile.

This pertains to SANTI, but since Avatar is owned by them, I'd guess the policy is probably similar. Might be worth reaching out and asking?

Thank you very much!
Like you say, it is SANTI, but yes Avatar is made by SANTI...
So I will definitely look into this and let you know of the results.

It is interesting that TiZip are still having delaminating issues. I had one fail in 2014 with less than 70 dives. 11 years later you would think/hope they fixed their quality :) Good to see that Santi is hopefully warrantying it.
