Hubby and I are going to be there for the whole weekend, arriving Friday and staying til Sunday. We rented a house with others from our dive club. Our club is doing the Casino location, although after seeing KM's picture of all those rocks, I am wondering whether to sign up for that locale. I cannot even negotiate stairs! :bonk: Do ya think I will find my mask and snorkle while there? J/K!

Anyone else planning to be there longer than just Saturday? Fun, fun, fun!

The short answer is YES, lets organize something. At a minimum I will come over for the day and I have had some of my former students indicate a preference for a weekend thing. Hopefully, when I get back in two weeks everthing will all be set up :)

Going to miss this one as I'll be in Belize and Honduras (that's it Doc, rub it in again).

If anyone finds a pair of bifocals in a case, they may be mine. Leave them with Jessica or Ron at CDS. I've been blind for nearly a year.

Hope those of you that participate have a great time. It's a fun dive. Wish I could be here for it.

whoops... :34: I submitted (but just edited quickly) what I thought was a funny (smart a**) response to drbill's glasses getting lost, but I just saw that they were lost in the case... So much for my feeble attempt.

Where is it you are going again??????

I vote for Green Pier with Step Beach coming in second. Let's decide which site and then register so we all can dive the same spot!

I'm all for Step Beach. Maybe I'll find a nice Rolex! Drunken boaters, hah!

One of the funniest things I've seen underwater was the last time I dove the Pleasure Pier (July? Aug?) to look for my glasses. Right below the dock at CDS was a book lying on the bottom. Its pages were turning with the water motion and there was a garibaldi looking like it was reading it. I think I got some video footage of the garibaldi, but definitely did of the pages turning.

Enjoy the dive.

That is a great visual drbill! Thanks for sharing!

Last year I dove the old tire reef that the Marine Forest Society tried off Newport Beach back in the 80s. Through the light covering of algae I could still see all the tire names... Goodyear, Kelly, etc., so whenever I think of this artificial reef I always visualize the fish learning to read by living among the tires and pipes.

My self and the Girlfriend are going to be there getting in on friday and staying untill Monday. We will be at Las Flores if anyone else staying here or La Paloma maybe we could get together for some drinks. Also planning on a possible night dive on either friday or Saturday. Hope to meet alot of you there. Have been lurking for some time.
Almost forgot Green peir for us.

I vote for Green Pier! Anyone else??
