Ok we have the diving and dining out under control, but my group has a fondness for mojito's and salsa on the deck. Does anyone know if the local markets are stocked? I don't remember seeing it on our last visit in Oct.....Thanks in advance

I'm impressed nice planning, now what kind of rum do you use for your mojitos?:eyebrow:

Pa,

I would bring them with you if you can. It is difficult to find, sometimes they have it fresh, but most times no. I have tried all of the grocery stores here. It is safer to bring it. If you want dried, I would bring it as well. They have a huge amount of dried spices on island, with the exception of my fav, which is dill. I have to have it brought in. I specifically remember NOT seeing dried mint or cilantro. We do however have great wild Bonairean Basil growing around the island....

Much thanks Liz, while I can handle dried cilantro, dried mint won't fly. Gotta have the fresh mint, spiced rum, limes, sugar, club soda and a drop of bitters. Wonder what the TSA will think of a gallon size ziplock stuffed with fresh mint. MMmmmmm

We arrive 14th, will be at winsock. Figure we will spend a bit of time at the WannaDive facility across the street. Be better if you can help track down mint. Still not sure what the airlines will think of a big bag filled with green leafy substance.

PA,

Let me see what I can do about finding some fresh mint for you...My next door neighbor owns Karel's Bar...I know he gets it.....I'll ask him...
