Yup, my dates are something like 15-28 Sept. I think I am going to stop in Bali on the way back and dive there for a weekish - maybe you guys could do that first

Didn't get out last weekend but I did get out yesterday for an Anzac Day dive. Fish has an ear problem so he had a good excuse for a sleep in. The rest of our group were all busy so I joined Clownfishsydney and his wife. Been meaning to catch up to them for ages. Had a lovely dive. Bit short at 67minutes but we saw some really kewl stuff. Unfortunately I messed up and had my camera on the wrong setting for the Pygymy Pipehorse shots. There were some unusual nudies. Eastern Blue Devil.. too far away to get a still. Greatest of all.. we saw a weedy seadragon in one of the old territories. We have been alarmed that pretty well all of the Weedies had disappeared from their normal homes.
this sighting is a sign of their return!

guessing that was bare island?
i was going to go yesterday, but i slept in instead.
how was the vis? a mate who went there told me it was 2m lol and choppy on the surface.
woulda been cool to see a pygmy, and a blue devilfish though.

Yeah Bare. We did the Eastern side. Was decent viz... 10 to 12 M. Temp 19.2. The Western side was pretty choppy and it was high tide at 11am so the waves were breaking on the rock ledge. Some people did dive the Western side but said the viz was pretty average. It blew up pretty good by noon. It was a surprisingly good dive tho!

ill be doing the leap this sunday most likely. first dive since great barrier reef.
