Every year I say I am not going. I really think i will not go this year but I can never say never! I sold my dive shop this year but I was hoping to get in touch with a few vendors who may need a sales rep. I am looking for smaller lines that may not have much representation on the South East or South West areas of the US. DO you think the DEMA show would be good for job seeking?

You won't find a better place to look for rep jobs. Every rep but one that I have hired over the years came from DEMA contacts.

Come armed with resumes and make sure that it lists the territory (states) that you plan to work. If you don't live there, it will be difficult to work there. Don't be alarmed if the companies that you talk to want to put you off for a few days. That is normal and most don't make a decision until after the show...unless they are desperate.

I hope to make it becasue I would love to open a dive shop next year in Florida and it would be great for contacts. Sadly I don't think that I will make it because of scheduling and other conflicts. But who knows
