Does anyone know of an easy way to attach a Comfobite to an older reg like a SP 109/156? The concern I have is that there is too much of a gap to close up with a mere zip tie and that I will have water seepage.

Thanks in advance.

The standard mouthpieces are loose on my older Conshelf 2nd stages. I use a large, regular (not low profile) zip tie, and snug it up tight. That works. When I was using the low-profile ones, I had problems with the mouthpieces coming off while diving.

I have been successful in getting a good seal on those those regs by pulling the zip tie very tight. Before trimmimg the tie, grab the end close to the block with needle nose pliers and roll the pliers to really, really tighten the zip tie.
