Given that much of you diving will be in cold water I would also suggest that you consider getting a reg that is sealed. That will given a bit more protection from freeze ups. And as said above many prefer a diaphragm regulator over a piston reg for cold water. Any of the Atomics can be sealed and speaking from experience sealing them as well as cleaning sealed piston regs like Atomics is a bit of a mess.
