Well, all points were considered, and after a valient attempt by the Mares rep to sway me over to a Carbon reg, followed by some time in the pool, I am the proud owner of an Atomic T2!!! That is a big step up from the SeaQuest XR2 that I have used for the first 12 years of my diving career. I got them to throw in a gift card with it (in place of the 20% off thtat they offered today) to get me a little more money towards the new BC that I will be getting as soon as I can check out the Scubapro SeaHawk. It is an exciting time. My girlfriend is trying out diving, so I have gifted my regulator, my computer, etc. to her, and I am upgrading to more of a "dream" set-up. :D

Excellent choice, you won't be dissapointed.

I have no experience with Scubapro, but I will say that I'd happily take my Atomic T2 / M1 or Apeks XTX 200's ...ANYWHERE...ANYTIME!

Thank you, thank you! I got a decent deal, so I am happy with it. Were they able to do the MiFlex with the ball joint that's on the hose? The dive shop I went to is under the impression that they woudln't be able to do that.

I think by "ball joint" you're referring to the swivel on the second stage.

And yes, my LDS was able to make the conversion, no problem.

I use an air integrated computer, the Cobra2. Miflex released a high pressure hose last summer. It takes some getting used to as it's about the diameter of a pencil. But I made the switch so that now all my hoses are Miflex. Combine Miflex hoses with a titanium reg and the entire package is extremely lightweight and easy to pack.
