Atomic T2 Interchangeable with Air and Nitrox?

From what I understand, unless you're going to use greater than 40% O2 then it's not a problem

Well, according to the Atomic Aquatics marketing dept, it IS a problem, hence their recommendation for the upgrade to T2X standard, but logically I agree that there should be no problem.
 
Actually, T2 dedication was an issue for AA's "Legal Department" (more likely outside counsel), not their Marketing Department.

I found out about the upgrade kits from a thread on this board last Fall and had to call AA to confirm after not finding a reference on their website.
 
IM sure the T2 are great reg's but if diving with Nitrox Y risk it. If your happy with there brand get a differnt reg where the worries can be eliminated they Make quality reg's. The M1 is a Terrific Reg breathes great and is at the Top.
 
Thanks to all who posted on this. After disucssing with our local dive shop, we are going with the upgrade kit for very minimal cost (He's doing it at his cost, so for both of us it will be under $100). Why not?

The nice thing about there shop is they have a indoor pool onsite to allow you try out the gear before you buy.
