Atomic B2 Regulator Deco Bottle Use

Hello:

I would like to use my Atomic B2 regulator with a deco bottle that will be charged with 50% O2. AA's web site states that the B2 will handle 40% without any problems. Can my B2 be modified to use 50% O2? If such a modification can be performed, what does it entail?

For a maximum percentage of 50% no modification is needed other than to O2 clean the reg at its next service interval and dedicate it to being used with mod-Grade-E air. IMHO if the current usage is already dedicated mod-Grade-E air using with 50% is probably fine with not O2 cleaning.

If using for higher percentages I would advise differently ...

I use my Z1 1st stage (cleaned) and a Ti second stage for 57% O2 for years and still have not burst into flames.

The guy who asked people who worry about titanium in the second stage where they bought their O2 clean toothpaste had a good point. Titanium in the first stage...whole different animal.
