Atlas another old guy here (49). Being OW & AOW certified in 1977 I was taught 60ft / 60 seconds, along with no safety stop. And diving the old tables 60 for 60, 80 for 40 and so on. If the new changes wasn't called for they wouldn't of done it.

Dive a computer if your profile isn't square you'll get more bottom time ... I smile every time!

And being older now and diving cold water we have to watch even getting in a hot tub after a dive, which can bring on a DCS hit. Smile do it the new way. It's better just like us ... better with age!
