those are very cool nice I enjoyed this very much thank you

Large schools of squid sighted near the Casino Point dive park here on Catalina yesterday. I'm going out to see if I can film them.

Wow - I hadn't realized just how anatomically accurate Spongebob's pal Squidward was! :D

I love seeing the mini-Cthulhus on my summer dives, but didn't see any this year. :(

Have had a fantastic week of filming squid by the thousands with Jean-Michel Cousteau, Dr. Richard C. "Murph" Murphy, Holly Lohuis and Don Santee. Some 50 GB of AVCHD footage to sort through and put together a finished product. Will talk about it in a future article.

Scrubbing through 50 GB of video! Getting the images in the camera is the easy part. Lights Camera Action. It's the hours spent finding the right sequence, extracting it, cataloging it, enhancing it (slow mo, color correct, digital zoom/pan) making it 5-12 seconds long, then getting into the story board, that most people have no idea about. Looking forward to your article and seeing the finished product. Please let me know when it's available.

The juvenile squid remind me of a cartoon character from my childhood. Anyone else see Alice the Goon from Popeye cartoons? Sorry DrBill, I know this is serious work but it's how my mind works. Too much UHF TV in the 60's as an impressionable youth has scarred me for life.
