Sounds like it might be a rotator cuff? If yes, take it easy and let it heal. Pushing those things just drags out your recover .... experience talking here!
 
Sorry to hear about your injury. Medically necessary dry time is a bummer, I agree - I'm just coming off one of my own (9 weeks dry so far). Definitely make sure you're completely healed before attempting anything that could reinjure yourself - you may just inadvertently increase your dry time.

Do I speak from experience? Sure do - fractured my rib, the enforced inactivity driving me nuts - started swimming my laps week 2 1/2 into the injury. :bonk: Definitely retarded the healing time and caused a longer dry time. Not one of my smarter moves.

Good time to service your gear, though. Hope you have a speedy recovery. :)
 
Let this be a warning to you.
Its not going to get any easier, and they take even longer to heal.

After a point, Im not sure that you can even expect a full recovery.

Boy is getting old a PAIN.

The weightlessness of SubSea Terrain used to be a comfort, but now the effort in getting there outweighs the advantages.

it is a freak accident...it willl never happen again. Keep the youthfulness Rick...keep showin those kids who's boss and what to do...in the mean time...rest up...lots of Jim Beam to help ease the pain.
