I set mine up like others have stated w/ the surgical tubing and a bolt snap. I keep mine in my left pocket. I had been keeping a cookie and arrow on the bungee mount for my computer but they "managed" to get tangled in the line during training w/ a little help from my intructor so I moved them to my pocket.

Basically make sure they are rigged so that you will not lose them and that you can access and return them with ease.

Mine are carried on my bungie reg cord. This occurred by default when my surgical tube broke and I almost lost my arrows. Since that time they have been placed there and it works for me. This does not work for everyone. So what ever you decide make sure it works for you.

I too use the surgical tubing attached to a bolt snap in my pocket.

I often wondered about the light mount method mentioned by Daedelus if it too would become easily entangled as you have referenced your computer. Have you encountered this problem with other mount styles? Just wondering...
