Hi Everyone

Recently i purchased a BTS argon system. The same like the one shown here:
DirDirect Worldwide

Unfortunately i seem to be having some problems setting it up.

When i have it attached to my back plate it seems like i don't have access to my hip D ring. Usually i have my hip d ring very close to my back plate so my deco tanks don't hang to low. Does anyone else have this issue and how did you solve it?

I am not sure how high or low i should have the tank mounted, could someone help me with this please?

Also i was wondering if the valve should face directly outwards or if the tank should be rotated so the valve points inwards?

I think that when i dive with my argon system and stages the stages will bang against my argon tank and the argon tank will interfere with my stage/deco tanks. Could someone help me out please or tell me their experiences with argon systems?

Should i attach the argon tank attachment bands to the front or back of my plate, atm i have them on the back.

Thank you all for your help and input, it's much appreciated.

I have posted some pics of how i have it now. Any pointers or tips appreciated.

I would move your hip d-ring forward. To solve the issue of stages hanging too low, thread the bolt snap and cord underneath "handle", if that make sense (i'm at work so i can't take a photo at the moment). That will shorten the length and hold the stage tighter to you.
I have the valve facing inward on my suit inflate system , with the bungee holding the weight of the cylinder, just under the hip d-ring. I just have one strap though, as opposed to 2.
I was playing around with 2 stages the other day, clipping, unclipping, etc., and didn't have any issues.

Its way too low in my opion. My valve does not extend past the bottom of my plate. My bottom dump sits just below my plate, so it's easy to get to both. I would raise it up first, then play with the valve position. I always like my hose to run up without a bend in it. And haven't found a conflict with my deco cylinders..

You have it set up appropriately. That d-ring is too far back.

I feel ya with trying to keep stages from dangling, but what ends up happening when the d ring is back is that they lay at an angle instead of flat. As they empty, this is even further exaggerated. Move the d ring forward so it's aligned with the midline of your body and wrap the bottom clip through the stage rigging if it's too loosey goosey.

There are variations on how folks position the tank. I wear mine fairly low, while a friend mounts hers really high. As long as it's comfy and you can reach the valve it doesn't matter. Some folks use two straps, while others use the top strap and a loop of bungee to secure the tank. Experiment a little.

^^^Ditto. Just move the d-ring forward.
