I've been a fan of HW for many years, owned 2 of their computers and one of their lights. Customer service rivals Shearwater, just amazing. I had to double check wondering how I missed the introduction to AI. Don't think they'll ever go down that route.
To be fair, HW launched an AI computer in 2018, the OSTC 2 TR. It appears there were problems in supplying the transmitter and the model was dropped at some point. This is probably why HW ended up on the AI list. It is now very difficult to find information on the OSTC 2 TR

I have searched, and read all the ones that came up with my search.
My questions is when running multiple cylinders on a shearwater, will the aqualung transmitters be problematic? Each trying to connect over the other? I.e. sidemount with a stage?
They cost half what the shearwater transmitters do, but I'm nervous to order 3 if they will not intermingle well.
Thanks for your answers in advance. Unless you're a keyboard commando... lol

The answer is that it depends. The gray PPS (Aqualung, Oceanic, etc.) transmit at a 5 second interval. The duration of transmission is rather short, so the chance of collision is probably low, but never zero. The problem is really that manufacturing tolerances mean that it’s not precisely 5 seconds, it’s plus or minus some amount. So, you could start a dive with them being OK, but one could catch up to the other.

Many on here run multiple PPS transmitters with no issues. Most likely, it will be fine. I don’t know if they are still around, but there used to be green and yellow PPS transmitters. They have a different interval than the grays, so if the do interfere, they will quickly clear.

Thank you for your answer, very informative!
The ones I'm looking to order though are black. They are stamped correctly though. Does black make any difference?

You can minimize the already low chance of transmission collisions by turning on your two sidemount tanke 2-3 s apart, rather than at the same time. That way the faster transmitter does not enough time on a dive to catch up to the slower one. Most of us have no or very rare problems running two grey transmitters.
If you are trying to run 3, the chances of collisions are greater, but you can still minimize them by your gas turn-on strategy. Ore buy one used yellow or green transmitter. Or buy one Shearwater SWIFT trasnmitter, which listens for any trasnmissions before it transmits.

They are dark grey.
Can you link to the ones you are thinking of?
