Are Deep Dive and/or Wreck Dive specialties necessary?

Your definition of an "experienced" diver is vastly different than mine. You average 16 dives per year. Many of us do 16 dives a month. Don't break your arm slapping yourself on the back.

@LI-er did say he took a break from diving so it's really 32 dives a year. :D

I am a bit bored at home atm and not a lot of work on... going diving again for 10 days next week... then off to Maldives for a 50 plus dives trip adventure in May.

I'm a decent recreational diver but far less experienced than many others on this forum. By the end of March I will have my TDI ANDP cert. Does that make me more experienced? Well at least it updates my Deco training on air from 1986 lol. Thing is I don't really plan on doing many dives with stage tanks but at least the cert does give me some options to do some wrecks in Philippines in Subic Bay and Puerto Galera should I dive those places again. Last time in Subic was not really impressed due to quite poor visibility at the time.
