Hi - I have a late 90s Aqualung Titan. The manual states it’s not compatible with Nitrox. There’s other info from aqualung published in 2000 that old regulators were not adiabatically tested for Nitrox.

It’s been serviced multiple times and I suspect, but cannot be certain that the more recent kits used are Nitrox compatible. The filter washer is SS which according to service kit info is suitable for Nitrox.

Are there any reasons why this regulator would not be suitable for Nitrox up to 40% O2?

Thanks.

can’t say for sure (in context of 6sigma no-failure rate); but a good hunch is as you quoted “haven’t been officially tested”

I’d guess it will be absolutely fine to use it with up to 40% Nx

I use an AL core (similar internals to Titan) for my 50% deco bottle, and it has the “standard” service kit, so did my CCR instructor (I actually got that reg recommendation from him)

SS is nitrox safe up to 80%, then things will get tricky

Worth mentioning: only Christolube used there, and the most important tip especially for 50-100% o2, open the cylinder valve SLOWLY
