I bought the aqualung reveal x1 in preparation for a live aboard in Guadalupe. I bought them as the silicone is really soft and I have a mustache (I was told that would help) I was in Cabo and so I tested them out for the first time

conditions weren’t great (10-15 ft visibility) it was sunny but we were shaded for part of both dives. there was a massive and very distracting glare/reflection form the walls of the mask onto the glass. It effectively cuts the field of view by 20%.
ive never owned my own mask so if this is ‘normal’ then I’d love to know. Is it because they were new? I used toothpaste on them and didn’t have fogging issues. They also didn’t leak to bad with some silicone gel

any ideas?
