Can someone please let me know if this is a problem? This was frozen and when I got it free when opened all the way it has a gap. It seems to function fine but, I haven't tested under water.

My wife's opened all the way.

Thanks John

IMO, no it is not. I have two first gen Legends and they do not gap like that either new or after being serviced by myself. If I recall that out knob presses in over a spline. You may be able to reseat it by pressing inward on it. If not confident with yourself then time to go to a tech.

Here is the exploded diagram for your 2nd stage, perhaps this will help you sort things out:

From what I can make out in the picture in the original post, I believe the 2nd stage in question is the Leg3nd Elite 2nd stage, hence the exploded diagram of that reg that I posted above. I have not been able to locate a service manual for that version of the Legend 2nd stage but attached is the service manual for the Legend LX/Legend Lux version...it should be sufficient to further help you sort things out.

shouldn't be an issue as it will only be wet up until the internal seal oring 28. but double check the retention pin 21 hasn't gotten loose or backed out.

Thanks for the replies. I brought it to the local dive shop and the pin #21 was bent. Getting it fixed now.
