Last news I heard was that the group is now under judiciary administration who will present a plan...

They were not, oh my man where have I been best I find another pump save I stand here for another nine years

Nope, Aqualung was never a gas company.

Ha ha ha ha ha!

I once owned a Head tennis raquet and skis and bindings 1970s, now I must own a couple of Head rebreathers

Sometimes my surname is Head

HEAD owns several sporting goods brands, among them rEVO, Mares and Scuba Schools International.

wow, Head owns SSI?

My son recently completed the on-line and pool portions of his OW cert class through SDI. Just the other day he was asking me about how it all worked with these agencies. He's not been looking at this stuff all that long and he was already suspicious of how janky it all is.

It has always seemed very goofy to me anyway, but Now it seems 10x worse in my opinion...to know that an equipment brand owns the certifying agency.

I've taught for two SSI shops, and neither has indicated (to me) that they were under any pressure or incentive to carry Mares/etc. One was a HUISH like dealer, and the other is Scubapro (mainly). None of the "Pro" trainings have mentioned any kind of tie-ins for that matter. About the closest thing I've seen to vertical integration has been that the SSI pro renewal reward gear (not free, buy at discount rate) is Mares stuff,

Head has a long history of sponsoring elite athletes who promote their brands. Not sure how that would translate to scuba. With it's training & brands, sponsoring select instructors might be a path similar to their current skiing & tennis divisions to drive scuba sales.
