The HEAD Group appears to be in the final stages of talks to acquire the Aqualung Group, according to news reports. HEAD owns several sporting goods brands, among them rEVO, Mares and Scuba Schools International. WOW, how will this affect current owners and service kits. IT will be interesting to see the future of this great company.

Well, HEAD is an exponentially better owner than Montagu or Barings. Flush with cash and willing and able to make things better.
Some light at the end of a tunnel?
Already rumors has aqualung being rolled into Apeks. Would think the branding of Aqualung would be the main brand.

But hey man, Apeks has been making Aqualung brand regs, for over 20 years

As GM is a finance not car company Aqualung was an industrial gas company

Nope, Aqualung was never a gas company. The gas company was and is Air Liquide, which divested their "non-gas" business in 2016. Aqualung (resp. Spiro) was founded as a subsidiary of Air Liquide due to Cousteau being married to on of the directors of AL.

And also, many, if not most of aqualung, u.s. divers, seaquest branded regulators were made at La Spirotechnique in France
