It's a giant first stage with an integrated transmitter, it's an app, it's a pair of computers, and it's a huge cable to the second stage which apparently has some electronics in it.

It's also derailing the Aqualung financial death spiral thread which is why I'm starting this one.

Very interesting.

Connected to the cutting-edge Pulsa dive computer integrating:
• respiratory information and alerts from algorithms
• real-time support for the diver, with on-screen guidance during the dive

I'm not sure I want a first/second stage that could only work with ONE specific computer but I could see a new diver that is buying gear for the first time being interested in this (along with the on screen guidance).

Modularity is good. It ensures competition, allows you to upgrade, repair, and experiment. All of which will be unavailable on this reg except at whatever price AL thinks it can extract.

That's why manufacturers always prefer proprietary. I guarantee you that this thing was pitched as the iPhone of regulators.

Surely they have a working prototype? Kind of weird to me that the promo video does not feature the product being used.

To me that is telling. It's classic vaporware ... touting and marketing something that isn't even ready enough to demo in a promo video.

Aquanonsense, 45,000 hours on development, I now fully understand the demise of AL.
Yeah they might deserve to go belly-up for wasting money on this nonsense
