I have over 1500 dives with my Dimension i3. I also retained a regular dump valve and power inflator incorporated into my SS1. I always like redundancy. I have never had a problem with the device except when I didn't connect the quick connect fully. A word of warning though. You do have to have it serviced occasionally. Novice - expert; who cares. If you like it and it works for you fine if not then don't buy it.
It's what I like about dive gear: there is quality equipment for everyone at a price point that works for them.
