Suggestion April Fools went too far

This past 4/1 the mods decided to allow certain controls to be turned of to help play a joke on the rest of us. (I am pointing directly at the
"Pssst...lets talk about them while they are not here" thread in Humor forum)
In a pm to me I was accusesed of personally attacking someone.

I fell for the joke and unintentionally caused someone else some pain.
For causing someone else pain I am truelly sorry.

In my pm to the person who clued me in, I asked if anyone else was asked to apologize for undue pain caused by this joke?

Does anyone else think this joke went to far? or had the potential to go too far?
Is anyone else feel any undue pain because of this "joke" thread?

For me the joke didn't feel like it went on too long, but the complaining about it certainly has (which is as sure a sign of success as anything IMO).

By my unofficial tally the hahas still have it over the boo-hoos.

It was in the spirit of the day. Most anyone who was initally offended had a good laugh about it after they were clued in.

As childish as April Fools may seem to some, it's a timed-honored tradition that anyone of any age can participate in, and from all the "April Fools" posts across the internet, it's definitely not just an activity limited to children

And it wasn't even 36 hours!!! ^you^ was gone around 8pm my time (HAWAII). And that still isn't the point...

We have a saying on submarines... just because someone doesn't like getting picked on doesn't mean we have to stop... of course maybe that may be the reason why people don't like being on submarines...

So now I'm changing my mind... It went on too long... I got too many mean PMs... Dandy Don loves me... and it was all my fault that that church lady in Texas thought she pooped herself in a wetsuit (even though her name wasn't henry)... Hopefully I don't get DCS because I descend too fast the next time I'm in the water. I don't know... maybe I'm just paranoid.

Well, it's Easter this weekend here - maybe a different date in Eastern Orthodox areas, maybe not so observed in some countries - but the USAmerican manufacturer-retailer complex here really push it, aside from the religious observance. Lots of pagan symbols of fertility have been incorporated for a list of reasons, i.e. bunnies - famous as being prolific (mice & rats never caught on) and eggs - the ultimate fertility icon with anything that goes with them: chicks, ducks.

Want me to post some G-rate Easter cartoons...?

Hey Fishboy! Nice to see you! Of all the people I watched yesterday, you seemed to *get* the spirit of the day the most. You made me fall down laughing. You'll be receiving the invoice for my broken ankle treatment in the mail.

Oh, and I have to say the BEST part of the whole day was how FEW people got the joke about getting DCS from descending!
