Saw this on LP, and it seems like a sensible solution to the dry mouth problem(real or imagined), does anyone have experiance with this, and if so would you share your tale?

I have purchased this regulator. I have only dove with it on three occasions. Once in a pool setting and twice in an area lake. I think it does help prevent dry mouth. I talked to several people that own this reg. and they say it is wonderful. In fact I think the filter caused me a problem with my reg. About 20 min. into my second dive at the lake some water entered my mouth when I inhaled. I took the reg. in to be looked at the tech guy said there wasn't anything technically wrong with the reg. I really don't know what happened but I think what happened was I put too much water on the sponge and the pressure built up and the water entered through the reg. On my next dive I was going to try it again but only putting a minimal amount of water.

I was planning on posting a similar question. What I would like to know could this be possible. Can you put too much water in filtering system where the water will enter your mouth when inhaling from a breath?

I've used the filter for about 25 ocean dives and any time water goes in my mouth it's sea water not filter water. But the filter does do it's job.I used to get very bad dry mouth and very horse when talking after a dive.Haven't had that problem sense I got the bio filter.Well when I forget to put water on it I do.lol

Thanks for the info, tempted to impulse puchase and test it out. (Hopefully within the return window if it's crap)
