I like my RK3 fins, BUT, I find the solid 'pull tab' on the strap a pain in the ... You know.
Has anyone cut the middle out and made a hole [like most of my other fins] ?
Now someone will say it is a hazard, whatever, has not been with my Mares and Aqualung fins.
The Mares is easy on/off, as is the Aqualung Storm ExcitePro.jpg s-l500.jpg

Edit: Usual typos.

Once heard from an Apeks/Aqualung rep, the tab is designed so that center can be cut out if desired.
On a review on youtube someone was asking if the center could be cut out.
Thanks, now what to use and not make a mess of it?
Open to ideas.

2 min with a Stanley knife [box cutter], the loop is still stronger than the other fins.

This is brilliant! I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. Thanks @Jimchris for the suggestion. I love my RK3 fins, but getting them off is a pain in the rear because it's so damn hard to grip the tab with gloves on. I have to wiggle my finger under the spring and then pry them off that way. A loop will be so much easier.

Ditto to that.

Personally I really like the Hollis pull tabs and use them on all my fins. Cutting center out of pull tabs on the RK3 a way cheaper option, nice.

So glad to hear this. I am cutting now. Yesterday, I got my dry glove stuck under the spring and did I look like a fish outta water!
