Yes. For all practical purposes they are O2-clean when new.

Yes. Unless you have an older service kit, all the Apeks service kits (and newly shipped regulators) use O2 compatible components. I think Apeks only states that their Green XTX/DS4 DIN can be used with 40 to 100%, but there is no difference between that regulator and a standard XTX/DS4 other than green color parts.Sorry for opening up an old thread. Are you guys using regular Apeks first stages for O2?
I was thinking about the convertor at first but i don't like the idea of that added length/failur point and depending which way i use it (from Din to M26) some french centers could still refuse it i think , so for some extra bucks it will be a full dedicated thing . I just mailed the shop from the product link if i'll have maybe to change the o-ring, other pieces or not, as the DIN kit ain't a specific nitrox product , even if i think Apeks kinda Always sell o2 clean kitThat's definitely a possibility.
If you don't mind a bit of added length to the regulator, you can also quickly convert it with an adapter such as this.
Do keep in mind that it adds another point of failure with the extra O-ring. It does have the virtue of not needing to play around with the hex key, as ideally the handwheel retainer should be torqued to specification (20Nm on most Apeks models-A bit low if you ask me, but it is what it is...)

Why would i buy/take the adaptator if i've the full wheel/connection ?Considering people generally ignore everything to do with M26 you could consider doing the same
An absolute fall back, would be to carry the M26 wheel, also the adaptor, with the appropriate tools
A torque wrench is not required
What are you talking about this time chief, what failures, where and when did a din or any other oring fail
So it is not ideal nor is it what it is and if you think it should be torqued to a higher spec you should say so
So back to reality
