I have a Scubapro MK20/S600 for sale. I have it listed on Ebay. I am concerned with the MK20 because things I have read. The S600 is great. I am buying a new regulator and am having a hard time deciding on which one to get. Here are the facts:
Overseas military -have Aqualung -Apeks support and can get Scubapro or Zeagle by mail
Diving in summer to 82 degrees water temp
Diving in winter to 60-70 degree water temp

I would like the regs to last a long time. Your input would be greatly appreciated. I am one to buy quality I just don't want to spend more than 450-500. Any suggestions?

I really am interested in the Zeagle (flathead vi or ZX 50D) and the Apeks, I know they once were the same, now different.

HELP!!!!

Zeagle is certainly a very good way to go. Incredible quality, lifetime warranty, dependable beyond belief....what's not to like?

The Flathead is an incredible reg with phenomenal breathing abilities, well below recreational limits. It's design is what makes it breathe so good, I beleive even beyond the Navy standards for regs.

The 50D is what I have used for 7 years (same reg) and it's great. Having the advantage of the swivel makes hose routing very convenient. Breathes great at depth (have had mine down to 170ft). Very rugged little reg.

Both are environmentally sealed which allows for cold water diving as well.

Be sure to get the right Flathead though, there are 2 models. The Flathead XP is NOT environmentally sealed, which is fine if you aren't going to do any cold water stuff. Otherwise stay with the VI which will go anywhere.

Good luck with your purchase and happy diving.

You already have a great second stage, so if you're concerned about the MK20, why not just go with the MK25? I'd say go that route since you already have the s600. If you didn't already have it, then I think it'd be a harder decision.
