As a point of interest, Aqualung will be dropping the TX-100 from inventory after this model year. They say it is an outstanding reg. (I have one and TOTALLY agree...love mine!) but apparently it comes down to numbers.

This past year they kept the TX-100 and did not go with the ATX-100 like they have in Europe (slightly smaller 2nd stage only major difference...closer to the ATX200 2nd) bkz the TX was such a high seller. Lately the ATX200 has been so popular that they have decided to discontinue the TX100. As they told me, it is only an inventory decision...in fact, one of the guys I talked to there actually slightly preferred the TX100...purely based on personal preference, not a performance issue.

As was told to me, although the TX100 won't be in the new line, there should remain a number of them in inventory for some time, so they will be available...and parts will never be a problem (Aqualung bought Apeks and uses Apeks technology in their new top of the line regs like the Legend LX).

As I understand it the ATX 100 and TX 100 use the same first stage. The only difference is the use of the ultralight ATX second stage. Also the TX 50 and TX 100 use the same second stages.

So if you are so desirous of a TX 100 you should be able to build one from separate parts shouldn't you? (The only diff being that your second stage will say TX 50 on the cover. Of course if you wanted to waste money you could order one of them to.)
