Apeks ATX 50 second stage with Dacor Viper

My sorry tale of woe is in another thread, my Viper America second stage is not working for me, and has caused one untoward incident where I had to pop up to the surface to breathe, luckily only from 25 feet!

Just wondering how well an Apeks ATX 50 will work with the Dacor first stage, or if I really need to buy the first stage as well.

I know this thread is going to be hugely prejudicial!

Is there any other second stage that breathes real easy and is diver adjustable that would work well with the Dacor first stage?

You won't be able to put the Apeks ATX50 on your 1st stage. The fitting on the hose is for a 1/2" port. I'm pretty sure your Dacor won't have a a 1/2" LP port. You would need to buy an adapter that allows the bigger fitting to go into the 1st stage.

Not quite. First the ATX50 second stage is not even delivered with a hose. Secondly you can get it delivered with the hose, and third, just buy the second stage and use the hose from your viper...
